First Layer:
1 c. flour
1 cube butter
1 c. chopped nuts. .
Second Layer:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Cool Whip.
sliced bananas to cover
3rd Layer:
1- 6 oz. pkg. vanilla instant pudding
3 c. milk.
Top with Cool Whip and chopped nuts.

First Layer:
Mix flour, butter and chopped nuts. Press into 9x13 pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cool.
Second Layer:
Cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold in one cup Cool Whip. Spread on nut crust. Slice bananas on top.
Third layer:
Mix large pkg.(or 2 small pkg.) vanilla pudding according to directions using only 3 C. milk. (or use banana pudding mix) Top with Cool Whip and chopped nuts. Refrigerate at least two hours.

Any flavor pudding can be used. Omit bananas. Of course, then it's just called "Instant Pudding Dessert". Actually the real name is Watergate Dessert and it was made with Pistachio pudding.
