1 1/2 c peeled and shredded potatoes (2 medium)
1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c of taco sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp onion salt
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz can chopped green chili peppers, drained
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp onion salt
1 lb ground beef
1 1/2 c shredded cabbage

In a large mixing bowl toss together the potatoes, 1/2 c cheese, 1/4 tsp pepper, and 1/8 tsp onion salt. Press into bottom and partially up sides of greased casserole. Bake in 350º oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile in large skillet brown ground beef, drain well and set aside. In the same skillet stir fry cabbage over high heat for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in ground beef, chilies, 1/2 c taco sauce, pepper, and onion salt. Mix well. Mound into partially baked potato crust and bake 20 minutes. Top with remaining cheese, cover and bake 2-3 minutes more. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve with additional taco sauce.

Can use 3 c frozen shredded potatoes - thawed. Can use hotter salsa or taco sauce.
