1 can (10 3/4 oz) tomato soup
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c finely chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
Generous dash pepper
1 tbsp shortening
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp prepared mustard
2 slices (2 oz) process cheese, cut in half

Combinge 1/4 c. soup with meat, bread crumbs, egg, onion, salt and pepper; mix thoroughly. Shap firmly into 2 loaves. In skilled, browm loaves in shortening. Cover, simmer 25 minutes. Spoon off fat. Stir in remaining soup, water, mustard. Top loaves with cheese. Cook uncovered 10 minutes. Stir now and then.
