1 1/2 c. sugar
1 large Tbsp Shortening
3 eggs
3 tsp baking powder
1 lb chopped pecans
1/2 lb citron chopped fine
1 qt molasses
2 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
Flour to handle - at least 3 lbs.

Directions:

Stir dry ingredients together. Cream wet ingredients together. Mix everything. Roll out thin (1/4") and cut in desired shapes. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

This is Grandmother Grace's Christmas cookie recipe. Mix the citron with a little flour before chopping. Makes it easier. Can chop in food processor.
