1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. molasses
2-1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 c. hot coffee

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and shortening. Add molasses; stir. Stir together flour, cocoa, salt, allspice, cinnamon, and ginger in a separate bowl. Slowly beat flour mixture into creamed mixture. Add 1 cup hot coffee and blend. Pour into greased & floured cake pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
