Dora's Bread Pudding Recipe

5 slices stale bread
2 tbsp butter
1/2 c raisins
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
3 c milk scalded
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Toast bread spread with butter and arrange in a
10 1/2 X 6 1/2 X 1 3/4 pan. Sprinkle with raisins. Stir salt, and all but 2 tbsp of sugar into eggs, and milk and stir to mix well. Pour over toast and let stand for 10 minutes, press down lightly on the bread with a fork to help absorb.

Sprinkle cinnamon and remaining sugar and bake at 350º for 25 minutes or until brown and delicious!

Sometimes my mother Phyllis would plump the raisins in warm dark rum for an added taste!
