1 pkg. Plain Spice Cake Mix
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup Applesauce
1 Large Egg
1 Cup Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grase 2 cookies sheets with solid vegetable shortening. Set the pans aside. Place the cake mix, oil, applesauce, and egg in a large mixing bowl. Blend with mixer on low speed for 1 minutes. Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. Increase the mixer spped to medium and beat for 1 minute more. Fold in teh raisins until well distributed. Drop heaping tsp. of the dough 2 inches apart on the cookies sheets. Bake the cookies until they are light brown and feel firm when lightly pressed with your fingers, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven. Let the cookies rest on the cookie sheets for 1 minute. Remove the cookies to wire racks to cool completely, 20 minutes. Repeat with remaining dough.
