1 box bucatini/percatelli/spaghetti noodles (you're choice)
2 small cans or one large can of chopped tomatoes (it's fine if it is mixed w/some spices like oregano or basil)
4 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
5 cloves of garlic chopped
kosher salt
red pepper flakes
grated parmigiano-reggiano

1lb ground beef (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil at med-high in a good sized frying pan, add garlic, cook for about 1 minute. Add tomatoes, salt and red pepper flakes to taste. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring until oil has separated. Once oil has separated turn down to low.
Boil water with a bit of salt. Cook pasta, once pasta is cooked, and before you drain it, add about two large spoonfulls of the pasta water to the sauce. Drain pasta, toss in with sauce.

Optional- brown ground beef. Add to sauce after the oil has separated.

Garnish with parmigiano-reggiano

My favorite noodles are the percatelli noodles, but they can sometimes be hard to find.
