1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted margarine
1 small can evaporated milk
1 14 oz. bag wrapped caramels
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 6 oz. pkg chocolate chips (or more)
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix together cake mix, margarine, 1/3 c. evaporated milk and nuts. Press 1/2 mixture into ungreased 9 x 13 pan. Melt caramels with 1/3 c. evaporated milk in microwave. Bake cake mixture for 6 minutes. Then sprinkle with chocolate chips and pour caramel mixture over chips. Dab with remaining dough. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
