2 lb sweet onions 1 stick butter 3 eggs 1 c sour cream ¼ t salt ½ t white pepper Pastry shell Grated parmesan cheese
Sauté onions in butter. Combine eggs, sour cream, salt and pepper. Add onions. Pour mixture into shell. Top with parmesan cheese. Bake @ 450 for 20 min. Turn oven down and heat @ 350º for 20 more minutes.
KK and I used to get together the weekend before Thanksgiving and make up about 10 of these onion pies to freeze.
