2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 tablespoon chili powder to taste
2 teaspoons salt
1-2 tablespoons minced onion
½ cup chopped bell pepper
2 (15 oz. cans) tomato sauce
1 clove crushed garlic
2 (1 lb.-14 oz.) cans small red beans, including liquid

Directions:

Brown beef, pour off fat. Sprinkle chili powder, salt, and sugar over meat. Add onion and green pepper and cook until almost tender. Stir in tomato sauce and garlic. Add beans.
