1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
2 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
Filling - 1 cup brown sugar
l cup nuts (I use walnuts)
1 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add milk and stir. Add flour, baking powder and flavoring. Pour half of cake batter into pan (8x10) and add half of filling which has been mixed together. Add remainder of cake batter and top with rest of filling. Bake 30 minutes in 350 degree oven. Make sure middle is set. If not, bake a little longer.

Tom LOVES this coffee cake. I got the recipe from his sister Sharon and have made it tons of times. It's best served warm.
