1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage (not spicy)
2 large cans crushed tomatoes
1 large can tomato puree
2 cloves garlic
3 t fresh or dried basil

1 pkg lasagna noodles

2 eggs beaten
1 1/2 C shredded Parmesan
1 lb mozzarella
2 lbs low fat ricotta
1 tbsp parsley

Brown meat. Add tomatoes and seasonings (need a large pot). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours.

Cook noodles according to package. Don't cook longer than suggested time bc noodles will cook more in the lasagna.

Mix eggs, ricotta, 1/2 C Parmesan, 3/4 of mozzarella, parsley in a bowl.

Cover bottom of pan with sauce. Lay 4-5 noodles over sauce, overlap. Spread 1/2 cheese filling, cover with sauce. Noodles, cheese, sauce (repeat, you should have three noodle layers). Cover top with sauce, remaining Parmesan and mozzarella

Bake covered at 375º for 40 minutes. Uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until all cheese on top is melted.
