3-1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1-1/2 c. dark raisins
1-1/3 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1/4 c. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º. Sift together dry ingredients in large bowl. Add raisins. Blend liquids together and stir into dry ingredients. Mix well with spoon, until well blended. Grease two 9" pie tins. Split dough in half and form each into a rounded loaf in each pie tin. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
