1 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 1/4 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/ 2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped fresh peaches

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 10 inch tube pan with 2 tablespoons of butter. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar. Cream the remaining butter with the remaining sugar. Gradually add remaining sugar, beating well. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and mix well. Combine 2 1/4 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to creamed mix. Dredge peaches with 1/4 cup flour. Fold peaches in. Pour in batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 70 minutes
