2 lbs. cube steak
3 c flour
5 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 egg
1 c buttermilk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Peanut oil

Directions:
Directions:
Pound cube steak 1/3" thick. Pat dry with paper towels. Heat oil to 375º.

Combine flour, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper for dry ingredients.

Combine egg, buttermilk, baking powder and baking soda for liquid ingredients.

Dip cube steak in flour mixture, then liquid and again in flour.

Cook about 5 minutes, turning over half way through.

Drain on paper towels. Keep in oven at 200º to keep warm.
