1 onion. chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
¼ cup olive oil
3 large cans plum tomatoes
1 large can tomato puree
¼ cup white wine
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
10 basil leaves, torn-up
1 tablespoon Italian parsley, cut up
Salt and pepper

In a large pan sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until transparent. Add all ingredients and simmer for 1 hour, uncovered.

Meat Sauce:
1 roll Italian sausage, cut into 2 inch lengths
1 recipe meatballs (see below)
1-pound hamburger, browned
Sauté sausage and meatballs and add to sauce. Simmer for 1½ hours.

1 clove garlic, minced fine
1 onion, chopped fine
1 pound ground veal
1 pound ground pork
1½ pound ground beef
2 eggs
6 slices of white bread, wet and wring out
1/3 cup Romano cheese or Parmesan
Salt and pepper

Mix in a large bowl. Make into walnut-size balls. Sauté. Add to marinara sauce.
