1/2 Bushel Green Tomatoes
1/2 Peck Onion
2 c. Salt
9 Green Peppers
1 tsp. Ground Cloves
3 qt. Vinegar
1 Stick Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ground Mace
1/2 c. Whole Peppercorns
2 tbsp. Mustard
5 lb. Brown Sugar

Slice the onions and tomatoes and sprinkle salt over them, let stand overnight. Drain and place in a large saucepan with peppers and make sure seeds have been removed. Add spices, sugar, mustard and vinegar. Cook 1 hour. Seal when cold.
