1-cup raw cranberries (chopped)
cup sugar
2 cups sifted flour
teaspoon soda
cup sugar
1 egg (beaten)
cup sour milk or buttermilk
cup melted shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cranberries and cup sugar. Sift flour, soda, salt and cup sugar together. Make well in dry ingredients. Mix egg, milk, and shortening. Pour liquids all at once into well and stir until mixed. Add cranberries. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
