1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese – softened
1 tsp peppermint extract
9 cups powdered sugar
¾ cup mil chocolate chips
¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons shortening

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and extract until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating well. Shape into 1-inch balls, Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Flatten into patties. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until chilled.

In microwave, melt chips and shortening, stir until smooth. Cool slightly. Dip patties in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper until firm. Store in the refrigerator.

My tips – if you decide to make them make them smaller than 1 inch balls, they are rich and it will definitely make more than 4 dozen. When you do the dipping chocolate I always double it and this time as it is not enough chocolate to cover them
