1 stick butter
1 C brown sugar
1 C white sugar
2 eggs
2 C flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 C buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 C mashed ripe bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve baking soda in 3/4 buttermilk.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
Add flour mixture while adding buttermilk/baking soda mixture.
Add vanilla.
Add bananas.
Add pecans if desired.
Can add other fruit like blueberries.
Bake at 350º for one hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
