1 lb. lean ground beef
1 large onion
1 or 2 cans of refried beans
1 (4 oz.) can of green chillies
3/4 cup salsa
2-3 cups shredded Jack or mild cheddar cheese
chopped green onions
chopped black olives
mashed avacado
sour cream
tortilla chips

Brown beef and onions and then drain. Spread the beans in a shallow 10x15 inch oval pan or ovenproof dish. Top evenly in layers with meat, chillies, cheese and salsa. Bake uncovered in a 400 oven for 20-25 minutes or until hot throughout. Remove from oven and quickly garnish with chopped green onions and black olives. Mound the avacado in the center and top with sour cream. Surround sides of dish with tortilla chips for dipping. (You can make this the night before and bake the next day.)
