2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
Place butter, br. sugar, water,salt into a heavy dutch oven. or kettle with cover boil gently while preparing dough.

Dough:
1 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Stir dry ingres. and cut in butter van. and milk.

Drop dough by spoon full into the gently boiling sauce. cover tightly and lightly boil over low heat for 20 minutes, do not lift the lid as they will harded
sever warm with whipped cream
this makes the best carmel you will love these, kind of a fall dish.
