Strawberry Jello Cake Recipe

1 white or yellow cake mix
3 eggs ( or whites)
1 1/3 cup water
1/4 cup oil
6 oz strawberry jello
lgr cool whip

Mix cake batter as directed on box.
Bake 350 for 30 - 35 min.
Mix jello with 2 cups boiling water, stir to dissolve.
Poke hot cake with fork and pour hot jello over cake reserving approximately 1/4 cup jello for topping. Cool cake.
Mix remaining jello with coolwhip and chopped strawberries. Spread over cake.
