6 cups whole milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup long grain rice
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 eggs beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk and rice in a pot and simmer until rice is tender. Combine eggs and sugar, add to rice stirring constantly. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add vanilla.

Variation: Add 1/2 cup raisins and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.
