2 cup flour
1 T. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Cut in the shortening until crumbly. Beat egg and milk into another bowl. Add to flour. Stir til leaves side of bowl. Knead on floured surface 20 strokes. Roll 3/4" thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake on ungreased sheet at 450 for 10-14- minutes.
