2 cups water
1 cup long grain rice, cooked as directed
6 large Vidalia onion, (chopped to equal 2 cups)
1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup whipping cream
2 tbsp. parsley or chives
1 tsp. sugar
salt & pepper to taste
Paprika if desired

Directions:

Saute onions in butter. Add rice in small amounts, stirring after each. Add other ingredients and mix well.

Pour into a greased casserole dish, sprinkle with parsley, chives or paprika.

Bakeš 350 35 minutes
