1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 lg apple pared, cored & cut into wedges
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup coarsley chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter & 1/2 cup sugar. Add eggs & beat till fluffy. Stir in vanilla and flour, mixing well.
Spread evenly in buttered 9-inch round cake pan. Place apple wedges into cake batter to form a circular pattern. Mix together 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over dough. Top with chopped almonds. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
