1-2 lbs meaty beef bones
1 onion chopped,
2 beef boullion cubes,

1 to 1 1/2 cups celery slices,
1 cup barley (regular or quick cook),
2 cans tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Place first 4 ingredients in pot and cover with water. ( I use a pressure cooker to speed up the process) Cook under pressure 20 -30 minutes. Remove beef bones and cut meat from bones in to bite sized pieces. While you are doing this add carrots, celery and barley to pot. Simmer till barley is tender ( about 30 minutes for regular - 10 minutes for Quick cook barley). Add cut meat & 2 cans tomato sauce back into pot. Reheat & serve. This is a thick hearty soup for a cold winter day!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The name "Tooth Soup" was devised by my kids when they were pre-schoolers as they thought the Barley was "teeth" floating in their soup! The name has stuck over the years & now Tooth Soup is a favorite with my grandkids, too.
