2 1/3 c flour 1 egg 1 c powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 c softened butter dash salt
Mix all ingredients well. Mix at low speed until dough forms. Cover and chill several hours. Shape into small balls. Dip into chopped nuts, or flatten with bottom of fancy glass dipped in colored sugar. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes. Can be baked plain and frosted, if desired.
