2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. butter
3 c dry roasted peanuts or (2 c. cashews, 1 c. peanuts)
1 tsp baking solda

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup & water - cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil - blend in butter - cook to 230º - stir frequently at 280º or soft crack stage. Add peanuts. Cook until mixture reaches 300º.
Remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda. Mix well.
Pour onto jelly roll pan. As the peanut butter cools - stretch it out thinner by lifting and pulling at edges wih fork. Loosen from pan as soon as possible and turn over. Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
