2 OZ CHOCOLATE
¾ CUP SIFTED FLOUR
½ TSP BAKING POWDER
½ TSP SALT
2 EGGS
1 CUP SUGAR
1 TSP VANILLA
1 CUP NUTS, COARSELY CHOPPED

MELT SHORTENING AND CHOCOLATE OVER HOT WATER. COOL. SIFT FLOUR WITH BAKING POWDER AND SALT. BEAT EGGS TILL LIGHT, GRADUALLY ADD SUGAR, THEN CHOCOLATE MIXTURE. BLEND.
ADD FLOUR, VANILLA AND NUTS. MIX WELL. POUR BATTER INTO 8”X8” GREASED AND FLOURED PAN.
