2 cans (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Pour 1 can of pie filling into each of 2 ungreased 9x9 baking pans. Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour half of batter into each cake pan. Bake 40-45 minutes.

We also like this recipe made with blueberry pie filling and white cake mix. Elizabeth also has same recipe cooked in a Dutch oven and cooked over fire.
