1 cup Crisco
1 cup milk
2 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp orange, lemon or almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cirsco and sugar, beat until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla to milk and baking powder to flour. Alternate flour and milk and mix with other ingredients. (Begin with flour and end with flour).
1/2 cup coconut milk may be substituted for 1/2 cup milk when making a cream coconut cake.
