Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
2 1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks (save whites
1/2 c. sugar (used to caramelize)
for meringue)
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a broiler, combine and cook sugar, flour, milk and egg yolks. While this is cooking, stir, constantly, brown 1/2 c. sugar. Add to first mixture and cook until thick. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
Pour into baked pie crust.
Add meringue.
