6-8 medium potatoes, peeled and
1 stick butter
cut into cubes
1/4 c. chopped onions
3 c. milk
1 large can evaporated milk
salt and peper to taste
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
bacon bits

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, cook butter and onions on medium heat until onions are done. Add potatoes, milk, salt, pepper and 1 c. water. Cook until potatoes are done. Add cheese and bacon bits. Cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
*If soup is not a thick as you wish, mix a little corn starch.
