1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cold water
4 c. sweetened sliced peaches
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Biscuit Topper:
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together first 3 ingredients. Add peaches. Cook and stir until thickened. Add butter and lemon juice. Pour into baking dish.
Biscuit topper: Sift together 1 cup flour, 1 tbsp. sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in 1/2 cup butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Mix 1/4 cup milk and 1 slightly beaten egg. Add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just to moisten.

Top fruit mixture with rounded spoonfuls of biscuit topper. Bake at 400º F. for 20 minutes or until brown.
