1 package orechiette pasta
1 to 2 pounds mild Italian sausage
1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves (more, depending on taste) garlic
2 Tbsp. ground fennel seed
1/2 to 2 tsp. crushed red pepper
2 cans Italian style diced tomatoes
2 to 4 Tbsp. vodka (Absolut is best)
1 cup heavy whipping cream

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, brown sausage with garlic, olive oil, red pepper, and fennel. Add tomatoes carefully, and simmer for 15 minutes. Cook pasta, and when al dente put into skillet and toss well. Add vodka and toss well. Let stand for two minutes. Remove from heat and add whipping cream and toss again. Let stand for 1 minute.
