1 pkg yeast; 1/4 c warm water; 1 c scalded milk; 1/4 c sugar; 1/4 c shortening; 1 tsp salt; 1 egg; 3 c flour;

Directions:
Soften 1 pkg yeast in 1/4 c warm water. Combine 1 c scalded milk, 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 c shortening, and 1 tsp salt. Beat in yeast and 1 egg. Gradually add 3 c flour to form soft dough. Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise til double. 1-1 1/2-2 hours). Take 1/2 of recipe and lightly floured surface and roll out to rectangle. Spread butter, sugar, cinnamon on top. (Raisins.) Roll up lengthwise and cut into 1" pieces, place in greased pan. Cover, let rise til double. Bake at 375º for 15-20 mins. Ice with powder sugar milk glaze.
