2 pkgs. yeast
1 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
2 c. scalded milk
3 eggs, slightly beaten

Soften yeast by stirring in warm water. Stir sugar, shortening, salt with hot milk.
Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, eggs and some flour. Continue to add flour until blisters form on surface of dough. Cover. Let rise. Shape.
Bake 10-12 minutes 400 for butterhorns
Bake 20-25 minutes 375 for rolls
