2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. canned pumpkin
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking soda, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, ground cloves and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, cream together margarine and sugar. Add vanilla, eggs and pumpkin to creamed mixture. Blend flour to creamed mixture, blending well after each addition. When well mixed, add chips and pecans (walnuts may be used). Put batter in a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle top with nuts if desired. Bake at 350º for 60 to 70 minutes. Insert pick to test. Cool 15 minutes and remove.
