1 cup butter
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
4-6 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups CAKE flour
1/2 cup crisco
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 cup milk

Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time, beating thoroughly after each. Sift all dry ingredients and add, alternating with milk. Beat thoroughly for 15 mins.

Bake 350º for 1 1/4-1 1/2 hours
