1 9" unbaked pie shell
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 c. milk
2 Tbs. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and sugar until creamy. Add milk,
melted butter, and vanilla. Mix well and pour
into unbaked pie shell and bake in preheated
300º oven until firm.

Mother used to make this for Tom, who
learned to love egg custard from his
grandfather, Herman Jordan. She loved
cooking for others! She especially loved
cooking for Tom because she said it was
obvious that he enjoyed what she cooked.
