1 c sugar
1/2 c light karo syrup
11/2 c cream (half & half or canned milk)
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 c butter
1/2 c nuts
2 squares chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, syrup, and 1/2 c cream to soft ball stage. Slowly, add another 1/2 c cream and cook to soft ball stage. Add another 1/2 c cream, slowly, and cook. Stir constantly to firm ball stage. Cream may look a little curdled, but it is okay.
Remove from heat and add vanilla, butter, nuts and maybe chocolate (if desired). Pour in 8X8 pan and let cool. Cut into squares and wrap in wax paper.
