1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
4 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add unbeaten eggs, and then add molasses. Sift together dry ingredients and add them. Roll into balls of desired size. Roll in sugar and refrigerate for an hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
