2 cups rhubarb (chopped)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

For topping:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup nuts
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Prehat oven to 325º if using glass pan or 350º for metal
Mix rhubarb with 1/2 cup sugar in small bowl.
Let stand until cake is ready.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add salt, vanilla and beat in egg.
Sift dry ingredients and add 1/2 to mixture and mix well.
Add buttermilk and mix.
Add remaining dry ingredients and mix well.
Stir in rhubarb and mix.
Pour into 7 1/2 x 12 inch cake pan.
Mix toppings ingredients and sprinkle over batter.
Bake for 1 hour or until done.
