3 lbs cleaned chokecherries 3 1/2 C sugar 2 fifths liquor - probably vodka 1 gal jug
Put chokecherries into jar. Cover with vodka and sugar. Every day or so, turn upside down to dissolve sugar. Put back on shelf till Christmas. (You start this business in the late summer) Makes a very fine cherry brandy.
