2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c.shortening
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 6 oz. pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside
Melt shortening. Sir in brown sugar and allow to cool slightly
Beat in, one at a time, the eggs, beating well after each addition
Add the flour mixture and chocolate chips-blend well
Pour into greased bar pan and bake at 350 º for 25-30 minutes
