1 lb ground beef, 1 large can diced tomatoes, 2 15 oz.cans tomato sauce, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2-3 tsp basil, 2-3 tsp oregano, 2 tsp onion powder, 2-3 bay leaves, 2 12 oz cans tomato paste, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup milk. Salt & pepper to taste.

Cook off ground beef and drain off fat. Place in crock pot on med heat. Add all other ingredients except tomato paste. Allow to simmer for six to eight hours to cook down. Add tomato paste and allow to simmer another two hours. Remove bay leaves and serve over hot pasta (spaghetti or elbows).

The longer it simmers the better. Also tastes better if it sits over night in fridge to marinate and reheat for meal the next day. Top with fresh grated parmesan or cheddar cheese. * Sugar cuts down on the acid of tomato products
