1 pkg (14 oz) caramels
5 oz can evaporated milk (divided)
3/4 c butter/margarine
1 box (18 1/4 oz) German Chocolate cake mix
12 semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk over low heat. In bowl, cream butter, add cake mix and remaining milk. Mix well. Pour batter into greased 9 X 13 pan.
Bake at 350 for 6 - 8 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over cake. Gently spread caramel mixture over chips. Spread remaining batter evenly over caramel layer. Return to oven for 13 - 16 minutes.
Let cool and enjoy!
